Jr Help Desk Technician

Summary
Maise is expanding its IT Services team and we are looking to add a Jr Help Desk Technician to work in our Brigham City office. This is NOT a remote position. This analyst position will work with other key personnel in a small team environment. This is an excellent entry level position working in security operations within an organization.

Daily Functions

  • Answer phones and respond to computer service issues and problems.
  • Maintain and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure.
  • Gather and correlate data from multiple device management systems and identify devices of concern and coordinate with other team members the remediation of those devices.
  • Assist in performing reoccurring tasks and maintenance items proactively
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to administration.
  • Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.
  • Participate in technology planning efforts and new initiatives.
  • Support all information systems staff in accomplishing their assigned responsibilities.
  • Assist with maintenance configuration documentation.
  • Assist with best practices in change management schedules and controls.
  • Assist with effective and timely communication with employees, vendors, and partners.
  • Assist with cybersecurity awareness and training initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position requires punctual and regular daily attendance at work location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree in STEM related field, Information Systems or related degree.
  • Familiarization with Microsoft and Google technologies and services.
  • Knowledge of system monitoring and incident response.
  • Knowledge of risk analysis and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies and networking protocols.
  • Understanding of Defense in Depth strategies.
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems such as Windows, MacOS and Linux.
  • Determination to work through complex technical troubleshooting and analysis processes.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard change management practices.
  • Effective communication, decision-making, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Competence in reading, writing and advanced mathematical principles and logic.
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive in completing tasks with minimal direction.
  • CompTia A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications
  • Not required, but desired, Microsoft MD-102 Certification
