Job Description
BML Services is currently seeking motivated and experienced commercial apprentice electricians to join our team. Apart from designing, planning, and installing commercial and industrial electrical distribution systems, BML also provides its customers with the installation of specialty systems including security, communication, fire alarm, and audio/video.

Apprentices at BML are required to work alongside and under the direction and supervision of a Journeyman Electrician in a commercial or industrial construction setting enabling them to learn how to design and safely install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and their components.

Apprentice electricians can make anywhere between $20.90 and $34.20 per hour depending on their current progress in the apprenticeship schooling program as well as any applicable on-the-job experience. BML is privileged to be able to contribute to the success of our apprentices by offering reimbursement for their electrical apprenticeship, schooling tuition and books (conditions apply). Step raises are applied to wages immediately after receiving and providing documented proof of a passing grade at the end of each semester.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and clean work areas.
  • Carry and deliver materials.
  • Assist the journeyman electrician and follow their instructions in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various electrical wiring systems and equipment.
  • Ask questions to achieve a better understanding of work practices and expand knowledge in the trade.
  • Adhere to safety regulations.
  • Maintain registration for apprenticeship schooling each semester and each following year. Attend regularly and achieve passing grades.

Qualifications

  • Utah Apprentice Electrical License or Reciprocal State Electrical License (Required)
  • Able to pass a background check to gain access to federal installations and state properties.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsites.
  • Trustworthy, honest, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Commercial Electrical Experience
