Responsibilities
As a Line Cook, you’ll be working directly on the front lines of the kitchen, handling food prep and cooking duties during service. Your key responsibilities include:
- Working the line: Prepare and cook high-quality food on the line in a quick and efficient manner
- Managing your station: Own your station, whether it’s grilling, sautéing, or frying, while ensuring all orders are prepared on time and to spec
- Efficiency with quality: Keep pace with a fast flow of orders, maintaining consistency and quality in every dish
- Following recipes: Adhere to recipe and plating guidelines provided by the head chef, ensuring consistency across all dishes
- Maintaining cleanliness: Keep your work area clean and organized, ensuring all tools, equipment, and ingredients are ready to go at all times
- Keeping an eye on inventory: Monitor stock levels and notify chefs of low supplies
- Handling prep: Prep ingredients for your station as needed and assist other cooks during service
- Teamwork: Communicate effectively with other cooks, servers, and staff to ensure food is sent out on time and at the highest quality
- Staying cool under pressure: Work efficiently during busy periods while keeping your composure in a high-stress environment
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous line cook experience is highly preferred. Culinary School is a big bonus!
- Work ethic: Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and cleanly in a high-stress, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Attention to detail: A keen eye for quality control—everything should be perfect and consistent, from the seasoning to the presentation
- Team player: Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must—this job depends on a team that works together seamlessly
- Physical stamina: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot, busy kitchen
- Flexibility: Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Resilience: Must thrive under pressure and be able to handle a high-volume kitchen without losing focus or quality

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
