Overview
Work with the Weber County 4-H team to provide youth programing with an emphasis on STEM in the community. The goal is not only to work in the community as an outreach program but also to help recruit parents and others to volunteer as leaders so we can grow the 4-H program.
This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah.
Responsibilities
Organize and teach workshops and contests in the community.
Establish collaborations and form partnerships with other agencies and entities on order to grow the 4-H program in Weber County
Help organize and maintain 4-H resources.
Recruit and assist adult and youth volunteers to teach and build the 4-H program with an emphasis to reach under-served and diverse audiences.
Fill out paperwork to report numbers and impacts in the community.
Other related work as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate with at least 6 month working with youth.
Work effectively with volunteers , youth and families.
Must be available to work in the afternoons, approximately 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and an occasional Saturday.
Self starter with follow through and the ability to work with little supervision.
Have access to a reliable vehicle.
Ability to multi-task and set priorities and follow instructions.
Basic computer skills.
Pass a background check

Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, stand lift up to 25 lbs., talk and listen to others. Must be able to learn about and teach youth how to use STEM related equipment.
Mental Demands: Be able to focus and concentrate in a chaotic environment, and make split second decisions to keep everyone safe and healthy.
