Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist include:
- Programming & Machining: Program Parts Maker software for Swiss Screw Machines, Lathes, and Mills (Tsugami, Hanwa, Okuma) to efficiently produce high-quality components.
- Blueprint & CAD Review: Interpret CAD models, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining dimensions and sequences.
- Tooling & Setup: Select tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures; ensure materials, tooling, and fixtures are available for production.
- Quality & Process Optimization: Conduct simulation tests, FAI certification, and in-process inspections; refine programs to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work with programmers, machinists, operators, engineers, and sales teams to optimize processes and reduce costs.
- Production Support: Set up, run, and oversee machining operations, ensuring accuracy, troubleshooting malfunctions, and verifying part quality.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools, adhere to safety protocols, and maintain a clean workspace.
Qualifications of CNC Machinist include:
- Prior experience in CNC machine programming, tooling, and operation of industrial machines.
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment or a willingness to learn.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with computer training in CAD software.
- In-depth understanding of material properties.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good vision and strong communication skills.
- Professional knowledge of safety protocols.
