Position Summary

In this role, you’ll provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance through tickets, phone, email, chat, and in-person support. Whether it’s unlocking accounts, resetting passwords, or troubleshooting issues, you’ll help keep our campus running smoothly by following clear policies and procedures.

Reports to the Director of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
Essential Functions
- Respond to technical support requests from faculty and staff through phone, email, chat, helpdesk ticketing system, or in-person interactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, and account login issues across various platforms.
- Assist users with password resets, account unlocks, and access permissions in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
- Install, configure, image, and deploy Windows computers and software packages.
- Maintain and update internal IT documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain the IT asset inventory, including receiving, tagging, and entering newly received equipment into inventory systems.
- Organize and process all incoming IT equipment and prepare devices for deployment.
- Provide evening on-site IT support for faculty and staff as scheduled.
- Log, prioritize, and track technical support requests and resolutions using helpdesk software.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and make recommendations for system or process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants with post- secondary education.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and advanced organizational skills.
- Aptitude and desire to quickly obtain new skills and undertake challenges.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional, responsible, friendly, and able to work in an educational institution.
- Must possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in business computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple work assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with individuals of all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Spanish speaking proficiency desirable.
Work Hours: Monday through Thursday: 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM
