South Davis Community Hospital in Bountiful (401 S. 400 E.) is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and fully qualified full-time Cook for our large and busy hospital kitchen and Cafe’. We are looking for a full-time experienced and passionate cook to help support our team.

Responsibilities:

• Cooking and preparing meals
• Scheduling rostering
• Food ordering
• Meal planning
• Supervising kitchen staff & assisting in other areas of the kitchen as assigned
• Must be able to communicate clearly and work well with others in a team environment

Hours/Pay
The hours for the position are M-F 12:00p-8:30p with some AM shifts available and an alternating weekend and holiday rotation

Hourly pay is $18.00- $21.00 DOE.

Minimum Requirements:

• Two years plus years of kitchen experience or one year’s prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
• Hospital food preparation experience and cooking for modified diets experience.
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools safely as well as identify and differentiate food items.
• Hospital/Healthcare Experience is preferred but not required. A culinary school degree &/or current ServSafe is a plus but not required.
