Department/Group: Engineering
Level/Salary Range: $20/hr Internship
Shift/Hours Worked: Flexible – around 20hr/week
Will train applicant: Yes
Roles and Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D models based on specifications from senior engineers
- Revise and update existing CAD drawings as necessary to reflect changes or improvements in design.
- Work closely with other team members, including engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure designs meet specifications.
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design standards.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, specifications, and other design documents.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other departments as needed.
- Utilize CAD software and part management software proficiently.
- Ensure all designs and drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Continuously seek to improve design processes and techniques for better efficiency and quality.
- Some Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering tasks may also be needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Experience or Formal Training in Engineering Tools, Principals, CAD, Product Design, and Manufacturing Processes.
- Strong Positive attitude with the ability to learn quickly, adapt, problem solve, and contribute to our company culture.
Preferred Skills
- Experience and proficiency with Solid Works and Creo
- Experience and proficiency with PTC Windchill PLM/PDM software
- Welding/Machining
