Position Summary
Schedule: Monday-Friday/Can vary on occasion, Day Shift.

Wage Range: $21.35-$26.90 per hour, depending on experience.

Western Coating, Inc seeks a driven individual with excellent problem-solving skills to join their Ogden team as Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, relocation and removal of all equipment and facilities mechanical systems based on the highest safety, quality standards and best practices in the steel service industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility and production machinery.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and lubricate machines and equipment
  • Perform work on mechanical drive components including bearings, bushings, seals, gears and belt/chain drives.
  • Perform layout, welding and fabrication work.
  • Install, dismantle, clean, reassemble, and move production machinery. Perform fluid mechanic repairs (hydraulic and pneumatic).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Update Computerized Maintenance Management System daily
  • Perform assorted production tasks as directed.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and equipment files as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • At least one (1) year experience in related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with overhead crane repair.
  • Ability to read blueprints, and schematics to determine repair procedures.
  • Knowledge of machinery, mechanics, plumbing, welding, and fluid mechanics (pneumatic and hydraulic).
  • Understanding of industrial electrical principals and controls.
  • Ability to weld (MMAW), use acetylene torch, and plasma cutter required.
  • Welding certification and/or CAD experience is a plus.
