Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will provide consistent quality pool cleaning and maintenance service, developing and maintaining a base of satisfied clients. Maintenance Technicians will learn how a pool is installed, maintained, and functions. They will learn the mechanical and hydraulics of swimming pools and spas. As the Maintenance Technician progresses in knowledge of the automations systems, pool function, etc.; they will transition into a Service Technician position. Service Technicians are responsible for trouble shooting equipment failures, diagnosing pool/ spa/ hot tub problems and equipment repairs. Knowledge of the following will provide beneficial in the day-to-day tasks of a Service Technician: Low Voltage and High Voltage Electrical diagnosis, Plumbing, Operation of Pool Heaters/ Pumps/ Automation/ Filters/ Etc., Tile and Plaster standards, and Water Chemistry.
Beginning Responsibilities
- To ensure consistent client satisfaction, resulting in repeat business and referrals
- Provide reliable, efficient, and professional service to clients.
- Provide professional pool cleaning, water balancing, and client follow-up.
- Load vehicle with standard and out-of-ordinary stock. Ensure all stock removed from the warehouse is accurately recorded and maintain a stock register and required tools to undertake services.
- Record all materials and products used on-site for invoicing purposes.
- Identify and report any maintenance problems or faults
- Identify poolside opportunities for upselling/sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (Certification will be provided by Poolwerx)
- Valid Driver’s License
