Description

This job involves working on welded steel water lines throughout the United States. You will be fitting and dual shield or stick welding large pipe or TIG welding stainless small pipe either as part of a crew or as a solo welder working for a contractor. You will be expected to work safely and efficiently and be required to travel to projects, set up your own equipment, and complete safe, quality work with or without supervision. The work generally involves long term traveling as projects can last from a few days to over a year. Shop work is available in Midvale while between jobs. National will cover all housing costs while you are on the road but you must have your own accommodations for shop work in Midvale. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities

• Must be safe
• Must be willing to travel for long periods
• Must be hard working and self-motivated
• Must be experienced welding dual shield, stick and/or TIG
• Must pass a drug test
• Must have a valid Driver?s License
• Must be able to communicate with Contractors and properly fill out paperwork
• Must be trustworthy and take care of company equipment and vehicles
• Must be willing to jump in and help when there is nothing to weld
• Must set up your own equipment, clean up after yourself, and fix your own mistakes

• FCAW-G, SMAW, and TIG Experience
