Averest is looking for a self-motivated Assembly & Warehouse Operative to support our growing custom products business. The successful candidate will need electro-mechanical skills to be able to build assemblies and sub-assemblies, be able to work with hand and power tools, and support part picking & packing in our warehouse.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Assemble, position, align, and fasten units, cables and wiring, using hand tools and power tools
  • Load/Unload inbound and outbound freight
  • Pick products and build pallets for assembly and safe transportation
  • Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight
  • Pack small parts for shipment and create shipping labels
  • Work to exceptional levels of quality, and maintain accurate assembly production records
  • Perform routine daily cleanup, book jobs into computer
  • Work to verbal or written instruction
  • Maintain and ensure a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines
  • Other duties as required

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Light manufacturing or assembly experience, 4+ years (preffered)
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools used in assembly
  • Self-starter, attention to detail, and ability to suggest solutions when problems arise
  • Self Confident, reliable, good communicator

Beneficial skills and experience:

  • Candidates with technical training, military experience or trade school certifications a plus
  • Ability to read & understand technical drawings
  • A standard forklift certification

Physical Conditions/Requirements:

  • Job frequently requires sitting, and handling objects with hands
  • Job requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, & lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Job requires the ability to see & read information in print, and work accurately with small components.
