The Boilermakers Trade includes the fabrication, installation, modification and repair of boilers, hydro dams, tanks, pressure vessels, furnaces and associated equipment such as stacks, platforms in power plants, petroleum refinement, chemical plants, paper mills, steel mills and food and beverage plants. The skills required of a construction boilermaker consists of reading blueprints, rigging of heavy loads, burning, welding, layout, fit up, fabrication of metal parts and often working in tight spaces and high places in excesses of 100 feet.</p>
<p>Our objective is to train apprentice boilermakers in all phases of the erection and repair industry that will be a credit to the industry. To accomplish this our program has implemented a training program that utilizes On-the-Job Training and Supplemental Related Instruction. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that apprentices who apply themselves to learn the trade will be afforded the opportunity to become highly skilled craft workers.</p>

<p><strong>Day in the Life of an Operations Intern:</strong><br />
This is an outstanding development opportunity that will provide the successful candidate with a number of unique opportunities while in the role! Responsibilities may vary based upon location, business needs, and the intern’s education and skills. Projects may include:
<ul>
<li>Trains in electrical, instrumentation and controls; provides I/E support</li>
<li>Participates in flow path training</li>
<li>Performs transmitter calibrations</li>
<li>Completes line locations, pigging, valve maintenance, daily rounds and readings within the gathering system</li>
<li>Builds mechanical knowledge while conducting tasks associated with mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, compliance activities, and general cleaning of facilities/assets</li>
</ul></p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities/Expectations:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Assists with a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support operations, while collaborating with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems</li>
<li>Acquires knowledge of and follows requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets</li>
<li>Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>

<p><strong>Education/Years of Experience:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Required: High School Diploma/GED</li>
<li>Current enrollment in and completion of one semester of the Electrical Technician or Heavy Duty Diesel program at Uintah Basin Technical College</li>
<li>Current enrollment in and completion of one semester of the Electrical Trades Preparation Certificate, Electrician Apprentice Related Instruction, Industrial Automation, Machinist, Machinist Apprenticeship, Manufacturing Technician at Ogden-Weber</li>
</ul></p>
<p><strong>Physical and Environment Work Requirements:</strong><br />
Must be willing to:
<ul>
<li>Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces</li>
<li>Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as the need arises</li>
<li>Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time</li>
<li>Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate <span class="caps">PPE</span> (Personal Protection Equipment)</li>
<li>Use hand tools</li>
</ul></p>
<p><strong>Other Requirements:</strong>

<li>Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record</li>

This position will be located at our Ogden, UT location, and is an on-site opportunity with some limited flexibility with the work schedule.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>

<li>Manage drafting/design/engineering request workload and coordinate requests to ensure timely completion and level loading.</li>
<li>Prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) using <span class="caps">CAD</span> software under guidance of Westinghouse engineers.</li>
<li>Create as built P&IDs</li>
<li>Perform inspection and verification of field conditions during design and/or as built.</li>
<li>Prepare isometric piping and equipment drawings</li>
<li>Perform <span class="caps">CAD</span> drafting of mechanical designs under the direction of engineers.</li>
<li>Work with a team including multidiscipline drafters and engineers</li>
</ul></p>
<p><strong>Requirements</strong>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 2 year of Drafting experiences</li>
<li>High school diploma, 2-year technical college is preferred</li>
<li>Proficient in AutoCAD 2D</li>
<li>Inventor or Solid Work Skill are Plus</li>
<li>Knowledge of P&ID and <span class="caps">ISA</span> standards are Plus</li>
