Reports directly to the President. Provides executive-level vision, innovation, leadership, and administration for the Instructional Services Division. Serves as the college’s chief instructional officer, and oversees all training programs which include the areas of health, business, and information technology, construction, manufacturing, and service occupations,. Serves as the college’s primary employer advocate, ensuring that the institution provides market-driven, technical instruction that meets business/industry needs. Responsible for the Center for Teaching and Learning which supports faculty in the development and delivery of high-quality instruction.

Essential Functions:
1. Key member of executive leadership team.
2. Supervises departments of responsibility.
3. Manages multiple projects.
4. Develops long- and short-term strategies and forecasts.
5. Prepares and oversees approval and administration of division budget.
6. Prepares and reports college annual program information reports.
7. Interfaces directly with Utah System of Technical Colleges (USTC) staff and Council on Occupational Education (COE) regarding issues of program and course approval, instructional policy and procedure.
8. Develops and enforces policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.
9. Works with all college’s divisions to develop more efficient and effective instructional programs and use of college resources.
10. Provides regional interface and coordination with employers, school districts, charter schools, universities, and regional planning entities.
11. Supervises federal and state grants within the division.
12. Models expected levels of professionalism, integrity, ethics, and leadership.
13. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including public speaking, presentation development, and written reports.
14. May serve as institutional accreditation liaison with COE.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by the President.

Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
2. Proven record of administrative and leadership experience at a senior management level with extensive experience in career and technical education.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead multiple departments in meeting institutional goals.
4. Successful experience in budgeting, long-range planning, and managing fiscal resources.
5. Knowledge of current instructional principles, practices and trends in leadership; organizational development and management as they apply to career and technical education; applicable federal and state laws and regulations; institutional and programmatic accreditation standards; and understanding of local employer community needs.
6. An understanding and commitment to the mission of an established multi-campus technical college.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively
with faculty, students, staff, Board of Directors, employers, and the community at large.
8. Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
9. Ability to work with individuals of all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds
10. Spanish speaking proficiency desirable.

SALARY: $83,544 – $108,000

WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
